Becoming an Auxilian

Volunteers who want to become even more involved may join one of our auxiliaries. Auxiliaries within the SMDC Health System are the active arms of Volunteer Services that engage in fundraising for their institutions; they also sponsor special events and help recruit new volunteers. St. Mary’s Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital Superior, and SMDC Medical Center have auxiliaries.

Fundraising

Each auxiliary operates a Gift Shop, in addition to participating in other fundraising projects. Proceeds from these activities benefit patients, families, visitors and staff, as well as students in health science fields in our region through scholarships that these fundraisers make possible.

These retail stores donate all of their net proceeds to SMDC through their appropriate auxiliary:
