Building
a better future in Cameroon
In 1999, SMDC Health System and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cameroon (ESEELC) began a partnership that brings hope and healing to Cameroon. Physicians and other healthcare professionals went to Cameroon and brought medical, nursing and administrative training, as well as donated equipment and technical assistance. Cameroonian leaders traveled to Duluth to receive training, and have attended medical schools around the world. |

Now there are taking these experiences and skills and using them to serve the Cameroon people.
A Bold New Plan
Together, we're moving things forward. Progress is happening. Cameroon leaders have developed an ambitious five-year plan that includes a new hospital, improved maternity and pediatric care, administrative training and increased attention to HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention.
More Partners Needed
To reach these goals, SMDC Health System and ESEELC need the help of donors. Dollars multiply in Cameroon: an improved and much-needed emergency room was built for just $35,000, and the new burn unit cost only $75,000. Yet their positive effect in incalculable. Please consider partnering with us to support the people of Cameroon.
