Giving creates giving...

Ever since Hans and Martha Aas first volunteered their time in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon, their efforts to create and sustain a partnership have transformed the area, resulting in:

  • a new Intensive Care Unit
  • a new Burn Center
  • a new Emergency Room, Physical Therapy Department and Endoscopy Lab
  • an AIDS prevention and treatment project
  • medical professional exchange
  • overseas training for Cameroon physicians and administrators
  • donated computers, X-ray and ultrasound machines
  • donated ambulances and radios
  • nurse education
  • a chaplaincy program
  • the beginning of a new neonatal unit

Developing the new vision

Best of all, we can build on this momentum. Cameroon leaders, trained and supported by SMDC Health System, have developed a five-year master plan that includes two new patients wards, kitchens and a triage center.

The expansion would add 115,000 square feet. It will create a new level of healthcare for the people of Cameroon. And it will cost $800,000…but listen to this: That's 15% of what it would cost here.

Your giving can make it happen.
