Tips for picky eaters
  • Keep mealtime pleasant
  • Encourage your child to try new foods, but also serve healthful foods she likes.
  • Don’t pressure or bribe your child to eat, but make food fun by using cookie cutters to make fun shapes for sandwiches and other foods. Or do experiments with food coloring to see how foods change color but taste the same.
  • Don’t make special meals for your picky eater.
  • Avoid talking about your child’s eating habits in her presence.
  • Remember that kids will eat what calories they need over time.
